The PriceScout project demonstrates strong foundational skills in data management and analysis. I successfully designed and implemented a structured relational database using SQLite, where I imported and organized real-world product pricing data. Throughout the project, I showcased my ability to clean, transform, and load data from Excel/CSV formats into a usable schema, while ensuring data integrity and consistency. One of the key highlights was my ability to write efficient SQL queries to extract meaningful insights—such as identifying pricing trends, product availability, and competitive pricing across multiple retailers. Additionally, I worked through real-world challenges like formatting issues, missing data, and schema design decisions, which enhanced my problem-solving skills. This project helped strengthen my technical skills with databases and SQL, and reinforced my understanding of real-world data flow from source files to actionable insights. It also prepared me to work collaboratively in a data analytics environment, as I practiced documenting my work and preparing it for team sharing in platforms like AWS Redshift. Overall, the PriceScout project is a great reflection of my growth in data analytics and my readiness to take on more complex, real-world data challenges.
